About Barry Ostrager

Attorney and commercial litigator Barry Ostrager serves Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP in New York City as a Senior Litigation Partner with four decades of experience. With an outstanding professional and academic background, he set the stage for a prolific career while an undergraduate at City College of New York and, later, student at the New York University School of Law. Following receipt of his J.D. in 1972, Barry Ostrager completed a yearlong clerkship under Judge Arnold Bauman of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York at about the time he earned his M.A. from City College. Founded in 1974, New York Thoroughbred Breeders, Inc. (NYTB) is a not-for-profit corporation that represents the interests of New York thoroughbred breeders.
